The Personal Care series documents accoutrements from my daily life, where I’m modifying my behaviors over time in order to live ecologically and avoid plastic packaging. My artwork has long been concerned with subverting product packaging and advertising — but now, rather than abstracting and indexing, I’m taking a more direct route, trying to avoid packaging altogether.
